What is SYG?
State Youth Games is an action-packed weekend of sport, worship and community for young people. Over 300 people camp together, play sports all day and celebrate at night.
SYG is organised and managed by Churches of Christ - Youth Vision SA.
Youth Groups from all over the State travel for the event.
What is the purpose of SYG?
State Youth Games aims to bring young people together in a community of fun, worship and involvement where they can enjoy sporting pursuits in a Christian context. State Youth Games assists the local church youth groups to reach out to young people in their communities and involve them in an activity which is non-threatening, fun, relevant, energetic and challenging.
Who can go?
State Youth Games is a youth and young adults camp and is open for anyone between 14-25 years of age*. There will be quiet study space for those with high school or university assignments to complete.
*PARTICIPANTS AGE CAN BE NEGOTIATED DEPENDING ON CHURCHES NEEDS. LEADERS ARE EXEMPT AND CAN BE OVER 25.
Cost?
State Youth Games in 2020 will be $130.00
This cost is GST free and includes all booking and registration fees, all food, a sleeping area, all sports participation, (including: use of facilities, umpiring and trophies).
I want to come, now what do I do?

If you're not connected with a church or youth group, contact us by email and we'll put you in touch with a team near you.

Register and pay online at least 3 weeks before the event.

Print out your email and give a copy to your Team Manager.

Team Managers are Child-Safe trained youth leaders from local churches and they'll organise the teams for chosen sports.
We’ll send out an email with details on what to bring, how to get there and other information once you have registered.
